By downloading, installing, or using the FADED mobile application or website (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
These Terms apply to all users including clients who book appointments ("Clients") and barbers who offer services ("Barbers"). Where a provision applies only to one type of user, that will be stated.
FADED is operated by OTR Collective o/a FADED ("FADED," "we," "us," or "our"), a company based in Ontario, Canada.
FADED is a marketplace platform that connects Clients with independent Barbers in their area. FADED provides:
To use FADED you must be at least 13 years old. Barbers must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to provide barbering services in their province.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@letsgetfaded.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may not create more than one account per person. FADED reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
When you book an appointment through FADED, you are entering into a service agreement directly with the Barber. FADED facilitates the booking but is not a party to that agreement.
You agree to provide accurate information when making a booking, including your name, contact number, and any relevant notes about the service requested.
You agree to treat all Barbers with respect. Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour toward Barbers will result in immediate account suspension.
You agree to arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals may result in a shortened service or cancellation at the Barber's discretion.
Reviews must be honest, based on your genuine experience, and must not contain personal attacks, discriminatory language, or false information. FADED may remove reviews that violate these standards.
You represent and warrant that you hold all licences, certifications, and permits required by your province to provide barbering services. You agree to keep your licence information current and accurate in your profile. FADED does not independently verify licence status.
You agree to honour confirmed bookings. Excessive cancellations may result in reduced visibility on the Platform or account suspension.
You agree to maintain a clean, safe environment for services, and to carry adequate liability insurance where required by your province.
Barber earnings are paid out through Stripe Connect. You are responsible for reporting your income and remitting applicable taxes, including HST/GST. FADED is not responsible for your tax obligations.
FADED charges a platform fee on each completed booking. The current fee rate is displayed in your earnings dashboard. FADED reserves the right to change the fee with 30 days' notice.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By providing payment information you authorize FADED to charge the agreed amount for booked services plus any applicable platform fees, tips, or taxes.
Accepted payment methods include credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Cash payments arranged outside the app are solely between the Client and Barber — FADED has no visibility into or responsibility for off-platform payments.
All prices displayed are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.
If a Barber cancels a confirmed appointment, the Client receives a full refund regardless of timing. Repeated Barber cancellations may result in reduced Platform visibility or account suspension.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your financial institution.
Clients who fail to appear for a confirmed appointment without cancelling are marked as a no-show. After two no-shows, a Barber may require a deposit before accepting future bookings from that Client. After three no-shows, a Barber may block that Client from booking through their profile.
No-show fees may be charged at the Barber's discretion and are displayed on their profile before booking.
FADED allows users to submit reviews, photos, and profile information ("User Content"). By submitting User Content you grant FADED a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Platform.
You are responsible for your User Content. You agree not to submit content that is false, defamatory, obscene, harassing, or that infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
FADED reserves the right to remove User Content that violates these Terms. To report objectionable content, use the report button within the app or email hello@letsgetfaded.com.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement.
The FADED name, logo, app design, and all Platform content created by FADED are the intellectual property of OTR Collective o/a FADED. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without our written permission.
You retain ownership of User Content you submit. You represent that you have the right to grant FADED the licence described in Section 9.
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. FADED does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
FADED is not responsible for the quality, safety, or outcome of barbering services. Disputes about the quality of a service are between the Client and the Barber.
FADED is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FADED and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
Before initiating any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at hello@letsgetfaded.com and give us 30 days to resolve the issue informally.
Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada. These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you by email or by an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in that Province, without regard to conflict of law principles.
